Venue Listing Terms

These terms apply to venues that claim a listing or subscribe to a paid plan on Shire Venues, run by Nextwave Media Group LTD (company number 13582114), Unit 7-10 Wandon End, LU2 8NX (“we”, “us”).

1. Basic listings

We may list any events venue in Beds, Berks, Bucks, Cambs, Herts, Northants and Oxon using public information. Basic listings are free. You can ask us to correct or remove your listing at any time through our Contact page.

2. Claiming a listing

You must work for the venue or be authorised to act for it. Information you give us when claiming must be true. We may ask for proof, refuse a claim, or remove access if we believe a claim is not genuine.

3. Paid plans

  • Premium costs £39 a month or £390 a year, and Spotlight £99 a month or £990 a year, including VAT where applicable, unless a different price was shown when you subscribed. Founding Venue offer: while places last, the first 25 paying venues in each county pay £29 a month for Premium or £79 a month for Spotlight for their first 12 monthly payments, then the standard monthly price.
  • Monthly plans are paid monthly in advance and yearly plans yearly in advance, by card through Stripe. Both renew automatically until cancelled.
  • There is no minimum term beyond the period you’ve paid for. Cancel any time from your dashboard. Your paid features continue until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for, then your listing returns to Basic. We don’t refund part periods.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe will retry. If it still fails, your listing returns to Basic.
  • We’ll give at least 30 days’ notice by email before changing the price of your plan. You can cancel before the change takes effect.

4. What Spotlight includes

Spotlight venues appear above other venues in search results for their county and are rotated through the homepage feature. Where several Spotlight venues share a county they rotate in turn. We don’t guarantee a fixed position, number of views or number of enquiries.

5. Your content

  • You’re responsible for everything you add to your listing. It must be accurate, lawful and not misleading.
  • Only upload photos you own or have permission to use.
  • You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show your content on Shire Venues and in our own promotion of the site, for as long as it’s on your listing.
  • We may edit or remove content that breaks these terms or that we receive a valid complaint about.

6. Enquiries

Enquiries come from members of the public and are sent to the email on your listing. You become responsible for the personal information in each enquiry when you receive it, and must handle it in line with data protection law. We don’t charge commission on bookings.

7. Ending your account

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close your account without a good reason under these terms, we’ll refund any unused paid days.

8. Liability

We’re not liable for lost business, profits or bookings, or for any indirect loss. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

9. General

We may update these terms and will email account holders about any significant change. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
